Billing, autopay & GST
CloudNx uses a prepaid wallet model with per-minute rating, automatic top-up via Razorpay, and GST-compliant invoicing for Indian customers.
The wallet model
Your account has a single INR wallet. You pre-fund it (or let autopay do that for you), and we deduct the running cost of every active resource every minute.
- Top up from /billing in any amount between ₹1 and ₹50,000 per transaction.
- Burn rate is the sum of every running instance’s hourly price (price_per_month / 720).
- Runway is balance ÷ daily burn rate, capped at 365 days.
- When the wallet hits ₹0, instances are stopped (not deleted) — you have ~7 days to top up before data is purged.
Per-minute rating
Compute, storage, and network resources are billed per minute. A Small instance (₹1,499/mo) costs ₹1,499 ÷ 30 ÷ 24 ÷ 60 = ~3.5 paise/minute. Stop the instance and the meter pauses.
We round up to the next whole minute on each resource — so 90 seconds of usage costs 2 minutes. This matches AWS/GCP convention.
Plans (compute)
| Plan | vCPU | RAM | NVMe | Monthly cap | Hourly |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nano | 1 | 1 GB | 10 GB | ₹699 | ~₹0.97 |
| Small | 2 | 2 GB | 30 GB | ₹1,499 | ~₹2.08 |
| Medium | 4 | 8 GB | 40 GB | ₹3,999 | ~₹5.55 |
| Large | 8 | 16 GB | 80 GB | ₹7,499 | ~₹10.41 |
All prices exclude GST (18%).
Autopay
New accounts complete an autopay setup as part of onboarding. We authorise a Razorpay mandate (card or UPI) and configure two values:
- Threshold — when wallet falls below this, auto-charge fires.
- Top-up amount — how much to charge each time the threshold is hit.
Defaults: ₹100 threshold, ₹500 recharge. Edit at /billing → Autopay.
The first autopay authorisation charge becomes wallet credit — it’s not lost. Subsequent charges happen automatically when needed.
GST & tax invoices
We’re registered for GST in India and pass through 18% on every billable line. To get an input-tax-credit-eligible invoice with your business GSTIN:
- Open /billing → Tax profile.
- Enter your registered legal name, GSTIN, and billing address.
- From the next billing cycle onward, invoices ship with your GSTIN and are file-and-claim ready.
Past invoices are downloadable as PDF from /billing → Invoices. Tax invoices are issued separately for GSTIN holders.
Spend visibility
/billing shows:
- Current wallet balance + month-to-date spend
- Daily burn rate × runway projection
- 30-day daily spend sparkline
- 6-month monthly spend chart
- Naive month-end projection (14-day average × days remaining)
For CI cost guardrails, the cloudnx billing show CLI command exposes the same numbers as JSON.
Refunds & cancellation
Cancel autopay any time at /billing. The wallet balance carries forward — you can keep using the platform until it depletes. Any unused balance ≥ ₹500 is refundable on request to [email protected]; smaller residuals expire 12 months after the last activity.
